Abstract

Review of the book Balé Teatro Guaíra: 52 years of a history of dance in Paraná, written by Cristiane Wosniak. the work is a historical record that contains, among impressively vivid and clear images, testimonies, trajectories, curiosities and perspectives related to the main pillar of dance culture in Paraná. Transiting between past, present and future, the author presents us with almost four hundred pages, a detailed work that stitches education, body and memory; an engaging plot that will surely awaken in the reader his dancing verve.

Pós-doutorado em Linguística Aplicada e Estudos da Linguagem pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP/CNPq). Doutor em Educação pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR). Mestre em Educação pela Universidade Regional de Blumenau (FURB/CAPES). Licenciatura e Bacharelado em Teatro pela FURB. Professor da área de Linguagem, corpo e educação na Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR). Professor permanente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação (PPGE/UFPR – Linha LiCorEs). Professor permanente no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Letras - Estudos da Linguagem da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande (PPGL/FURG). Pesquisador com bolsa de Produtividade em Pesquisa do CNPq.
