Abstract

This article deals with the research “Desenho de nuvem” developed in the Institutional Program of Scientific Initiation of the Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Diego Rayck) and as a Bachelor of Arts Course Completion (under the guidance of Prof Dr. Aline Dias). The research is an artistic process investigation into the “Diário de nuvem” series, work in progress since May 2017, which includes the daily realization of a cloud observation drawing. By investing in the continuity of this artistic proposal simultaneously with the theoretical investigation about notions of drawing, landscape and daily recording practices found in conceptual art, inserting itself in the methodological framework of art research. Given the issues raised by “Diário de nuvem” artists On Kawara and Francis Alÿs are taken as reference. In the reflections on the notions of place and landscape are taken the concept of topophilia of Yi-Fu Tuan (2012) and the theory of space immersion by Emanuele Coccia (2018).

Author Biographies

Jakslaine Silva da Penha, Federal University of Espírito Santo

Possui bacharelado em Artes Plásticas pela Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo. Esteve como bolsista em projetos de extensão na Galeria de arte espaço Universitário (GAEU) entre 2015 e 2018, dedicando-se principalmente ao setor de Acervo e Coleções. Desenvolveu a pesquisa “Desenho de nuvem” pelo Programa de Iniciação Científica 2018/2019 da UFES (bolsista FAPES), quando investigou em sua produção artística a temática da paisagem e da nuvem. Atualmente cursa especialização em Práticas Pedagógicas para Professores no Instituto Federal do Espírito Santo. 

Aline Maria Dias, Federal University of Espírito Santo

Artista e Pesquisadora. Professora Adjunta do Departamento de Artes Visuais da Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo. Doutorado em Arte Contemporânea pelo Colégio das Artes da Universidade de Coimbra (2012-15), com Bolsa Capes de Doutorado Pleno no Exterior (Proc. n. 1107/12-7). Mestrado em Poéticas Visuais pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2009) e Bacharelado em Artes Plásticas pela Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina (2004). Atuou como chefe de serviço do Museu Victor Meirelles, IBRAM, Florianópolis (2009-10) e coordenadora do Projeto Agenda Cultural da mesma instituição (2004-2007). Membro da editora independente Corpo Editorial. Vem participando de exposições, projetos curatoriais e editoriais. É pesquisadora na área de Artes Visuais, com ênfase em arte contemporânea, espaços expositivos, publicações de artista, fotografia e vídeo.
