Abstract

This article deals with acting women in animation theater during the first fifteen months of the Covid-19 pandemic in Brazil, based on the hypothesis that there is a significant increase in the representation of these actors on the national scene. It presents a brief account of the formation of the Brazilian Puppets Network and some of the main animation theater events held virtually during the period, reflecting on the transformations experienced in the area, due to the reality imposed by the pandemic.

Author Biographies

Bárbara Duarte Benatti, Universidade de Brasília

Licenciada em Educação Artística: Artes Cênicas, pela Universidade de Brasília-UnB (2008). Pós-graduada com especialização em Hotelaria Hospitalar, pelo Centro de Excelência em Turismo-UnB (2009), dando desenvolvimento a pesquisa iniciada na graduação, ampliando o repertório sobre a inclusão das artes no processo de recuperação. Mestre em Artes Cênicas (2017), pela Universidade de Brasília-UnB. A dissertação explorou o teatro de bonecos do Mamulengo e a inclusão das mulheres, ressignificando a brincadeira. O trabalho foi selecionado como melhor dissertação na área de linguística, letras e artes junto ao prêmio UnB de dissertação e tese do ano de 2017. Atualmente é Doutoranda pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes Cênicas na UnB.

Joana Vieira Viana, Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina (UDESC)

Possui graduação em Artes Cênicas pela Universidade de Brasília (2004), Especialização em Docência no Ensino Superior pela Unopar (2014) e Mestrado em Artes Cênicas na UFRN. Cursando Doutorado em Teatro pela Udesc. Tem experiência na área de Artes, com ênfase em Interpretação Teatral, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: teatro de animação, teatro de rua, esquadrão da vida, bertold brecht e cultura afrodescendente.
