Priam et la rançon d'Hector : une étude sur le tragique dans la peinture de la céramique attique

Le but de cette étude est d’argumenter que Priam est le personnage principal des peintures de la rançon d'Hector et que les peintres, en se concentrant sur lui, ont représenté sa tragédie. Pour atteindre cet objectif, six peintures considérées comme les plus dramatiques ont été sélectionnés, qui sont analysés sur la base du récit visuel, en tenant compte de la composition, des gestes et des postures. Depuis l'Iliade d'Homère ayant inspiré les peintres, il est présenté comment Homère a conçu cette scène, ainsi que la compréhension aristotélicienne de la tragédie, afin de mettre en valeur le caractère dramatique de la tradition picturale et ses spécificités.
