Abstract

This article intends to discuss the concept of losing oneself in Dutch artist Bas Jan Ader, focusing on the trilogy In Search of the Miraculous. To lose oneself would be understood as an experience of launching into the present and allowing external forces to define your route, and therefore, we approach Ader with the romantic experience.

Author Biography

Anelise Tietz, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro

Possui graduação em Educação Artística com Habilitação em Artes Plásticas pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2013) e Mestrado em Artes Visuais pelo Programa de Pós Graduação em Artes Visuais da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2017). Atualmente cursa doutorado no mesmo programa e é professora do Ensino Básico, Técnico e Tecnológico do Instituto Federal Fluminense campus Quissamã. Tem experiência na área de Artes, com ênfase em Educação Artística e História da Arte, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: arte contemporânea, ensino de arte, gênero e jogos digitais.
