Abstract

This artistic report focuses on the series As a child, the worm dreamed of being..., created by the artist Elke Coelho in 2012 and 2013. The work in question promotes the convergence between two collections, one composed by objects and another by words. The relation between the realms of objects and language is established through structural, sensorial and/or metaphorical analogies in the field of Contemporary Art.

Author Biography

Elke Pereira Coelho Santana, Londrina State University

Pesquisadora, artista e professora no Departamento de Arte Visual da Universidade Estadual de Londrina. Possui graduação em Educação Artística pela Universidade Estadual de Londrina (2005); especialização em Literatura Brasileira, pela mesma instituição (2007); mestrado em Artes Visuais - Poéticas Visuais - pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2009); e doutorado em Artes Visuais – Poéticas Visuais – pela Escola de Comunicações e Artes da USP (2014). Participou de exposições coletivas e individuais, entre elas: Área de risco, Museu de Arte Contemporânea da Universidade de São Paulo (2014); Quando os objetos se tornam abismos, Divisão de Artes Plásticas da Casa de Cultura Univeridade Estadual de Londrina (2013); Delicadezas incisivas, Galeria da Faculdade de Artes Visuais, Universidade Federal de Goiânia (2011); Ontem o dia estava assim e outras anotações gráficas, Museu Victor Meirelles, Florianópolis (2010); Ocorrências Silenciosas, Sala Theodoro De Bona, Museu de Arte Contemporânea do Paraná (2010). Organizadora, juntamente com Danillo Villa, do livro Cartografias Cotidianas (2011).
