Policies for theme issues
1. The theme issue is an annual publication organized by external persons or guests invited by REAI, which addresses specific themes within the scope of the Journal.
2. The editorial board of the thematic committees consists of at least two proponents, and all of them must be registered on REAI’s website.
3. For the submission of a theme issue proposal, persons outside the editorial team must provide:
⦁ summary of the theme;
⦁ detail in items of the theme.
⦁ link to the most up-to-date curriculum of the proponents.
⦁ link to the proponents' ORCID.
⦁ e-mail addresses of the proponents.
4. The proposal is reviewed by the editor-in-chief and associated editors.
5. After approval by the editorial board, the theme issue project is included as a category in the Journal system and is suitable for submission of articles.
6. The editor-in-chief may encourage the participation of contributors affiliated with different educational and research institutions, located in different states of the country, as organizers of the theme issues.
7. The articles submitted to the theme issue project are evaluated exclusively by the members of the editorial committees specific to each theme issue, under a double-blind evaluation system.
8. The members of editorial board of the theme issue may submit articles for the respective issue, provided that they do not evaluate their own work.
Composition of theme issues
Thematic issues can be composed of:
- a maximum of ten unpublished articles.
- a maximum of one article-experience report.
- a maximum of one interview.
Editing of theme issues
The editors of theme issues are supposed to:
- Evaluate and give their opinion about the manuscripts submitted to the theme issue using the OJS3 Platform.
- Decide on the articles that will be part of the theme issue after their approvals.
- Determine the sequence of the manuscripts that will be part of the theme issue.
- Write the editorial of the theme issue.
