Abstract

O estudo faz análise das transformações vividas pelo teatro de animação brasileiro desde 1986, buscando compreender as mudanças no trabalho das companhias e na programação dos festivais do gênero, a partir das políticas públicas voltadas para esta área, reconhecendo que sua multiplicação não trouxe uma proporcional ampliação de sua diversidade e que, mesmo com mais subvenções e apoios para a cultura, o Teatro de Animação vem perdendo o seu caráter mais investigativo e de pesquisa.

Sandra Vargas, Grupo Sobrevento (São Paulo)

Atriz formada pela Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro - UNIRIO. Fundadora do Grupo Sobrevento, um dos mais importantes Grupos de Teatro do Brasil, reconhecido pelo trabalho com Teatro de Animação. É curadora do FITO – Festival Internacional de Teatro de Objetos. Atua como pedagoga do teatro e animadora cultural no Espaço Sobrevento em São Paulo.
