Abstract

Una breve y panorámica visión del teatro de títeres en el Perú, desde la época de la Colonia hasta nuestros días. Se reseña el aporte de los fundadores de un teatro nacional que nace a partir de la independencia del país, en 1821, luego de dos
siglos de dominio español. Asimismo, el aporte de titiriteros en diversas partes del país. Culmina con un repaso de algunas de las modalidades de empleo compartido con otros lenguajes artísticos, dentro de una integración de las artes.

Felipe Rivas Mendo, UNIMA - Peru

Decano dos titeriteiros peruanos. Presidente da UNIMA Peru Diretor da Cia. Marionetas del Barranco e do Instituto Peruano de Teatro de Títeres. Foi condecorado pelo Ministério de Educação com as Palmas Artísticas, Grau de Maestro, e a Medalha Cívica da Municipalidade Metropolitana de Lima; recebeu a Medalha de Honra do Congresso da República e foi nomeado Professor Honorário da Universidade Nacional de San Cristóbal, de Huamanga.
