Abstract

Traços biográficos da pernambucana Maria Ângela Belfort de Araújo são
delineados com foco em aspectos pertinentes ao Teatro de Bonecos tradicional do Nordeste brasileiro. Em sua trajetória artística, destacam-se trabalhos como bonequeira, atriz, dramaturga e encenadora. Atuante no universo do Teatro de Bonecos brasileiro, também tem forte atuação como pedagoga, professora de Ensino Superior e estudiosa do mamulengo. Esteve à frente da Associação Pernambucana de Teatro de Bonecos e da Associação Brasileira de Teatro de Bonecos, onde lutou pela visibilidade, reconhecimento e valorização da arte dos mestres mamulengueiros.

Author Biography

Marcondes Lima, Universidade Federal de Pernambuco – UFPE – Recife

Diretor, cenógrafo, figurinista, ator e titeriteiro. Fundador do Grupo Mão Molenga Teatro de Bonecos (1986), é um dos mais atuantes profissionais da cena pernambucana. Licenciado em Artes Cênicas pela Universidade Federal de
Pernambuco (UFPE), hoje é professor na mesma universidade, desde 1992. Mestre em Artes Cênicas pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA), em 2003, com a dissertação A arte do brincante no Mamulengo e no Bumba-Meu-Boi.
