Há neste dossiê, ainda, três artigos que abordam discussões sobre gênero
e sexualidade na investigação e na vivificação da palhaçaria; são eles:

O elogio da bobagem: palhaços no Brasil e no mundo
(2005), cuja
autora, Alice Viveiros de Castro, tece algumas reflexões sobre a atuação
de mulheres como palhaças em contextos históricos e contemporâneos,
embora esse não seja o foco do livro. Na esteira disso, encontrei as
pesquisas de Erminia Silva:

, tese de doutorado defendida em Campinas, SP, em 2003,

Em 2021, Adriana Patrícia dos Santos, também conhecida como a palhaça
Curalina, publicou o livro
Dos guetos que habito: negritudes em procedimentos
poéticos cênicos
, pela editora Hucitec, de São Paulo. Em 2022, as pesquisadoras
Ana Elvira Wuo e Daiani Cezimbra Severo Rossini Brum organizaram o livro
Palhaças na Universidade (Wuo; Brum, 2022), publicado pela EDUFSM (2021 em e-
book e 2022 impresso), que reúne 15 artigos de 18 autoras de todas as regiões do
país e de um autor estrangeiro (Canadá). Em 2023, foi submetido o Volume II do
livro junto à mesma editora.
Karla Concá, a Palhaça Indiana, atua desde 1991 com palhaçaria e é uma das
principais referências formativas e artísticas na atuação de mulheres na área.
