Consciously or not, in its daily routines, the influence of school on sexuality can be seen through acts of repression of acts considered inappropriate, or through various other forms, such as the non-divulgation of information and the application of its principles, values, prejudices, myths and taboos. This article reflects on the importance of intentional emancipatory sexual education in teacher training, and its recognition as a key component of the right to education and reflection on issues of human sexuality in the educational environment. Allied to these other issues emerges another one that concerns the teachers’ pedagogical practice in Sexual Education and the work with their students. All these questions are present in the day-to-day of a classroom where teachers are faced with school reality. In this context, an enforcement regime in teacher training for intentional emancipatory sexual education in institutions of higher education will be another crucial step for young people as a right to information on the issue of sexuality.
Keywords: Teachers’ Training.
