INFÂNCIA E TRABALHO: REFLETINDO ESSA RELAÇÃO A PARTIR DOS INDICATIVOS DAS CRIANÇAS E DO MST <br> CHILDHOOD AND WORK: THINKING ABOUT THIS RELATIONSHIP FROM CHILDREN AND MST INDICATIVES

Resumo

O propósito desse artigo é refletir sobre a relação entre trabalho e infância, tomando como referência os indicativos de crianças que crescem e se educam no contexto sócio-cultural do MST. Assim, discuto sobre o conceito de trabalho a partir da perspectiva marxista, localizo como o trabalho é tomado pelo MST enquanto princípio educativo e, finalmente, aponto as significações que as próprias crianças atribuíram ao trabalho, bem como a forma como elas, como crianças, trabalham. O estudo revelou que, para as crianças, o trabalho é uma estratégia de sobrevivência econômica, de valorização e interação social e de manifestação lúdica.

Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to think about the relationship between work and childhood, taking as reference the indicatives of children that are growing and being educated in the MST social-cultural context. Therefore, I discuss the concept of work, from a Marxist perspective, searching how MST uses the work as an educational principle, and finally, I pointed out the meanings attributed to work by the children themselves and the way they work. The study revealed that, for the children, the work is a strategy of economical survival, valorization, social integration, and a form of playing.
