«¡Hagamos maratones!» ¿Para qué impulsar la reutilización de archivos audiovisuales?

Resumo

El argumento propuesto en este artículo es que los archivistas, disen̂adores de interacción y especialistas en medios de comunicación necesitan adoptar nuevas prácticas, como la organización de hackatones o maratones, para facilitar la reutilización creativa de material de archivo. Por medio de esas actividades, podrían respaldar el alcance a las comunidades locales y comprender las sutilezas de reutilizar contenido para contextualizar los registros de los archivos. Para respaldar esta afirmación, expongo un estudio de caso en el que escritores y realizadores de video de distintas partes del mundo aúnan fuerzas para reutilizar material de archivo audiovisual en Helsinki, Finlandia.

Biografia do Autor

Mariana Salgado, Aalto University

I am a designer and a researcher working in service and interaction design. I have worked in cultural heritage and global health projects always under a participatory framework. My partners varied from project to project but the setting is always multi and trans cultural and disciplinary. I have worked in collaboration with different communities such as vulnerable groups of immigrants, professionals in memory organizations, global health experts and rural citizens in development countries.

As part of my doctoral dissertation, I have been involved in co-designing participation in museums through the use of interactive pieces. The book can be found on-line: "Designing for an Open Museum. An Exploration of Content Creation and Sharing through Interactive Pieces".

After graduation, I got a grant to go to Argentina and I was working as visiting researcher in LINKS, a civil association for the study and promotion of Information Society. From 2011-2013 I worked as Interaction Design Lecturer in Laurea University of Applied Sciences. I was the Head of the Master in Business Administration in User Centered Design.

From 2013-2016 I had a position as a Postdoctoral researcher in Arki research group in the Department of Media, School of Art, Design and Architecture, Aalto University. I have studied during this time creative remix practices in collaboration with immigrants communities in Helsinki.

During 10 months I have worked in M4ID as Senior Design Researcher in global health and learn on the possibilities of participatory design practices in development.

In 2017, I was working in Suo&Co, a Design & Research studio. Now, I work in the Finnish Immigration Service co-designing services with people from Inland studio.

Specialties: participatory design, service design, co-design, user research, new media, research and development, accessibility, global health, human centered design, interaction design and development.
